Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her most well-known role is her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and therapist for families and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she participates in Passover seders.
